Best range of cameras in London? Cheap point and shoot to pro DSLRs, more cameras per square foot than Jessops or Jacobs? Welcome to Borough Market on a Saturday afternoon.  Saw this guy taking pictures of cheese with a nice little medium format.  I do see the appeal (shooting markets, not cheese) - when I’m abroad I shoot markets all the time but for some reason I’ve hardly done any work in London markets.  This will have to change.

Haven’t really shot much this week, working a lot, if I get some time tonight I’ll stick up some of the older stuff I’ve been meaning to put up - watch this space for the Royal German Ball in Karlsbad.  For now here’s a few things I shot on my walk through Borough Market.  For anyone who’s remotely bothered I was trying out the black and white JPEG mode on the M8 with the contrast bumped up.

The Frontline Club’s ‘Forgotten Season’ begins on the 4th August, come and support some amazing documentary makers.  I can’t possibly speak highly enough of the events programme which runs at Frontline. www.frontlineclub.com

On 19th June, 14-year-old David Idowu was stabbed in Great Dover Street and died in hospital three weeks later.  The day after the stabbing I covered the scene for the South London Press and I returned on Tuesday to support his family and friends as they marched to Downing Street to honour his life.

speaker’s corner is amazing…

In a moment of foolhardy madness I bought a Leica M8.  Just wanted to see what all the hype was about really.  I reserve judgement on whether they’re worth the money but I’ll get back to you on it.

So I got a blog - hopefully it’ll be updated on a semi-regular basis.  Let me know what you think.
